One thing you will learn about Saint Bernard's Elementary School: we do not waste anything!

Please think of us before you throw away a significant item at home or work: a work station, an easy chair, a Pentium computer, a printer, blank paper; please give the Development Office a call and we'll put it to use. Along that same vein, we save many items commonly looked upon as trash because companies will pay us for them! (Please also ask grandparents and other family members to help our school by saving labels and coupons.) As follows:

Campbell's Soup Labels: TheUPC portion of the label only. (www.labelsforeducation.com)

Empties4cash: Empty ink cartridges such as all HP products and many others. All inkjet cartridges must have a print head to be recycled.

SchoolPop.Com: Shop online and up to 20% of your purchase goes directly back to St. Bernard's Elementary School. (www.schoolpop.com)

Box Tops for Education: We redeem the Box tops for Education on General Mills, Betty Crocker, Old El Paso, and many other products. We cannot redeem Betty Crocker Points. (www.boxtops4education.com)

Plastic Bottles and Cans: This program begins each year in October. Please send in rinsed REDEEMABLE plastic bottles and cans for the school to recycle. Please only send items with a 5 cent deposit. If your child brings in at least 25 bottles and cans he or she earns one out-of-uniform day the first Wednesday of the month.

Can Tabs: Please save your can tabs for Sr. Irene. They are used to help many charitable organizations.
